On Monday, September 3 CUPE Ontario members will take part in the Toronto Labour Day Parade.

Please meet at 9 am sharp at the corner of Armoury Street & University Ave. Look for the pink CUPE flags!

Unfortunately, the IATSE Local 58 lockout by Exhibition Place continues despite every effort by the union to negotiate.

The Labour Day parade will therefore be ending at Lamport Stadium. Lamport Stadium is on Liberty Street, just south of King and east of Dufferin. If the lockout is ended, wristbands for the CNE will be distiributed.

IATSE will put their picket line up across Dufferin at Liberty Street so all the marchers could cheer them on as the parade turns left at Liberty.

So JOIN US for music, speeches from IATSE and others, kids’ games, face-painting, concession stands, and a beer tent with proceeds going to Local 58 strike fund.
